On April 8, 2025, JamiiAfrica held a fact-checking workshop with 25 Media and Mass Communication students from Tumaini University at the Seashells Millennium Hotel in Dar es Salaam. The session aimed to promote access to accurate information during elections.
Led by the JamiiAfrica team, the workshop covered how to identify misinformation and disinformation, using real-life examples from past elections in Tanzania. The training began with an interactive introduction to JamiiAfrica’s work and included practical sessions on how to use our fact-checking platform, JamiiCheck.com, as well as user-friendly tools like reverse image search.
