On June 16 and 17, 2025, JamiiAfrica conducted a specialized training on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Journalism for students at the University of Dodoma. The training aimed to boost their understanding and practical skills related to emerging technologies in the field of journalism.
This training was especially timely, reflecting global shifts in technology and information dissemination. Participants explored various aspects of AI, including its advantages and the challenges it presents—particularly the issues of misinformation and disinformation.
The sessions involved both Lecturers and undergraduate students studying Journalism and Public Relations (1st year to 3rd year). The program provided valuable insights on how to adapt to rapidly evolving AI technologies and effectively manage false or misleading information produced by these systems.
