As part of our commitment to enhancing the capacities of civil society and media in modern, citizen-focused advocacy for democracy and accountability, Jamii Forums held a capacity-building session with our partners, WAJIBU Institute on Digital Public Engagement and Safety.
The training provided participants with practical strategies to strengthen digital public engagement and safeguard online interactions. It combined theory with interactive activities, including hands-on fact-checking exercises, exploration of digital tools for community outreach, and guidance on secure methods for reporting sensitive issues.
By the end of the session, participants were equipped with actionable skills to engage meaningfully, protect themselves and their sources, and contribute to a more informed, safe, and vibrant digital civic space.
