On July 12, 2024, the Minister of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups, Dr. Dorothy Gwajima, visited Jamii Forums Headquarters to gain a deeper understanding of how the organization operates in amplifying citizens’ voices.
As one of the political leaders who actively uses the JamiiForums platform to engage with citizens, Dr. Gwajima expressed her appreciation for its existence, noting that the visit would help strengthen collaboration between her ministry and JamiiForums, making it easier to serve citizens effectively.
As frequent user of social media to connect with the public, Dr. Gwajima was particularly impressed by “Fichua Uovu”, the whistleblowing tool available on the JamiiForums platform. She pledged her readiness to receive and address any complaints within her mandate submitted through the tool.
The Jamii Forums team greatly appreciated Dr. Gwajima’s visit, viewing it as a positive step toward stronger engagement and meaningful partnerships in the shared goal of building a responsive government.
