On 22 July 2026, JamiiAfrica had the privilege of hosting the Swedish Ambassador to Tanzania, H.E. Charlotta Ozaki Macias, during a farewell visit marking the conclusion of her diplomatic tenure in the country.
Ambassador Ozaki Macias began her assignment in Tanzania in August 2022, during which she played a significant role in strengthening Sweden–Tanzania relations and supporting initiatives that promote sustainable development, civic engagement, and community empowerment.
During her visit, the Ambassador reflected on her time in Tanzania, highlighting the opportunity to engage with inspiring individuals and organizations working to create positive change.
“Thank you, JamiiAfrica, for the warm farewell and for your valued partnership throughout my time in Tanzania. Your role in fostering informed public dialogue and civic engagement has made our collaboration especially meaningful. I leave with great appreciation for all we have accomplished together and confidence that the friendship and partnership between Sweden and Tanzania will continue to grow,” said Ambassador Ozaki Macias.
JamiiAfrica expressed its appreciation to Ambassador Ozaki Macias for her leadership, partnership, and commitment to supporting initiatives that advance civic participation, access to information, and inclusive development in Tanzania.
